Hi,
This is just an enquiry to see if anyone else has suffered from the same problems of lost documents at AAESS.
I KNOW I am definately the second teacher that has had their original documents "mislaid" AKA LOST. My original degree, UK Apostille Certificate etc. The so-called "Head of HR" claims to have posted them but refuses to provide proof of postage.
This is despite the fact that all previous requests from them for my documents MUST go by DHL.
Its now been over 3 months since she claims to have posted them. Of course, they have not turned up.
I know another teacher had similar problems about 9 months ago.
Considering that the "Head of HR" main hobby seems to be drinking herself into oblivion every weekend does worry me somewhat about the incompetence of the administration.
Anyone else had similar problems there?
On a seperate matter, I saw on the TES website a while ago that they were looking for a new Head of Primary. Has the woman (RR) left already? |

I would suggest that you direct this question to your colleagues at Al Ain English Speaking School rather than using a public forum to make libellous allegations against an AAESS staff member.
Im also surprised that the moderator hasnt pulled this post.
Your poor spelling is definately (sic) a seperate (sic) matter. |

Grow up. It is only libel if untrue. I have seen it so it`s hardly a false allegation. |

.....and what have you been doing 'every weekend' then, watching her?
Moreover what business is it of yours what she does?

Who cares what anyone does on the weekend? Bringing it up reflects negatively on you farangfarang. Personally I think you should go back and edit it out.
Yes, let's go to your actual point here. I'm confused. Do you work for these people or are you applying for a job there? Or you did work there and now have left?
I am wondering why they ever had the original documents to start with. In my years in the Gulf, I never once allowed any of my four employers do more than check them... while I was in the room. And I didn't leave the office without my papers in hand.

SABIS PPP lost over a dozen people's documents last year. They were all westerners if I recall.
It started off as "no no, we keep them" then "they're at another Choueifat school" then "no, they're at the OTHER Choueifat school" then "the Ministry of Labour keeps them." After a few months, they just said that they lost them and shrugged their shoulders. |

VS. I concur. I would suggest editing out that part as it does definately provide a negative image of FF. Why include it as it has no bearing on the question?
It sounds like this is a former employee who has had their paperwork lost and is bitter about it and other things. IMHO.
I have a feeling this thread will be locked soon... just a hunch. |

For God's sake, FarangFarang and adorabilly, we're ENGLISH teachers. Can we at least figure out how to spell definitely correctly? |

Im confused, why would any employer wish to keep your degree certificates/attestations and so on?
Are you saying that they are lying to you and are withholding them for some reason (what?) or have genuinely lost them?
And AGAIN what has this got to do with the HR managers weekend habits?
What are you looking for here, some sympathy? You havent found it and to be honest all weve heard from you so far seems little more than the airing of a grievance you have with the HR manager.
Im pretty sure that the HR manager doesnt read this site, is unaware of your allegations and therefore not in a position to defend herselfdefinitely.
Are there any AAESS teachers out there who want to chip in their 50 fils worth? |

And besides, just what the hell is wrong with drinking yourself into oblivion every weekend? |

Jim.
I never have claimed to be an english teacher. And you make being a house husband sound like a bad thing.
I personally like it. It gives me time to work on that MA in ed tech and my housework.
Now if you don't mind, I have to get back to doing dishes, packing lunches and getting my stuff organized.
though I find it funny, that if it was said about a woman that she is a "housewife" there'd be some sort of uproar... but it is ok to mock a man doing the same thing. Go figure. |

Should you not be sending attested certificates?
So what if they lost them at least you still have Originals or not? |
