I posted my resume (and uploaded my diploma and photo) on Seriousteachers.com months ago. It seems to be a great site to look for EFL jobs. You can customize your country preferences, and they email you jobs that match. Applying in response to these emails is simple, too. But perhaps it is too easy? I imagine the schools get bombarded with applicant responses. Despite the fact that I am a native speaker with a post-B.A. university TESL certificate and extensive international and practical experience, I have received virtually no responses to my applications. Maybe it's because I indicate (as required) that I am not ready to start "immediately," but that shouldn't always be the problem because the jobs I respond to typically start in September.

What has your experience been with SeriousTeachers.com, if any?

Hi,

I had the same experience. Total silence from anything I applied for.

I have found other sites that I feel are better. You could try google and be specific for the country you want.

Don't forget this site for jobs, it could be a good place to start.

I've had some good responses to applications.

The job I have currently I was recruited for from the website.

In the hundreds of things you may do to get a job, posting your resume is one of the easiest. You may never get a job from one of these websites, but then again, there is really little to lose in trying.

My previous job, (it lasted a long time) came from TEFL.com.

YOu get notified of jobs which is ok. BUt I thinkt here are a lot of teachers, sometimes when I try to apply for a job that has been recently posted, the employer has already stopped accepting applications.

I've posted my CV here on eslcafe.com and got lots of repsones, but nothing that I was looking for. MAinly recruiters.
