				| I want to work in Oman and am having trouble find enough teaching position postings to apply to--wish it was like China or Korea where the amount of jobs are endless. Any info on where to look for teaching English or even Independent School jobs would be great. Or is there a recruiting company that has alot of Oman teaching jobs? Thanks,
 Amy

				| There are some recruiters for the Ministry of Education jobs around Oman. These are university level jobs teaching foundations English outside the capital area. The pay is not stellar and the recruiters seem to range from OK to awful.
Is it K-12 that you are interested in? For those you need to find the names of the schools and apply directly to them. I bet you can google up the names and then do a search here and see what has been said about them.

It is always best to avoid recruiters if you can. All they do is siphon off part of your salary...

				| Thanks so much again, VS. All your info is great and I will try out your suggestions. It seems like ESL cafe and serious teachers gets a couple Oman jobs per month, but not much to choose from, so I will follow your recommendation of just going to the schools independently. Thanks,
 Amy
