Has anyone signed up with them for next year yet? I hear they're still offering a pittance salary and shared accommodation.

As a teacher survivor of sabis in Sharjah, I can say that usually, the only time most of the teachers use the "points system" is when they are being observed. When this happens, the students and teachers go into the sabis mode and as soon as the observer leaves, the typical everyday chaos of the classroom resumes. For all that has been said about sabis, they always paid me on time and honored their contract. Yes, the place is very messed up for both teachers and students but I worked for another school in Dubai that made sabis look good. You can do much worse than sabis, it's just not talked about as much.
