thinking that I have a job starting straight away and when I get here they tell me that the class won't start til mid-Feb and perhaps even later. What am I meant to live on - good intentions? Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad

Don't give them your passport and start looking for a real job.

Nah, just a bit of a rant - I love the school I work for. I have worked for them before and never had any problem with them before this. I'm sure the job will come through eventually but just wished they had been a bit more honest about when the job would start. Sad

If they want you to stick around to teach for them in mid-February, you should at least get them to cover your apt./utility costs until then. Otherwise, I'd definitely look elsewhere for work if I were you.
