The news channels (English and Spanish language) here in the US are just repeating the same information over and over and trying to incite panic. My boyfriend and I are members of a group called LIGA who run several medical and dental clinics once per month in and around El Fuerte, Sinaloa. We are supposed to fly medical personnel down on Friday for the May clinic. Since the news statios are run amok, LIGA will be making the decision to fly or not based on CDC recommendations. Their website seems to have fairly reasonable information.

Also, WHO is posting updates:

And just for fun, if anyone is interested in LIGA:

If anyone knows what the Mexican version of CDC is and if they are posting updates to a website, I would apppreciate knowing about it.

The WHO have also conveniently failed to mention that 35,000 (WHO figures) people die from flu worldwide each year. How many have died from swine flu? Err... 200... should we come out of the bunker now?

And that 35,000 is only in the US, not even worldwide.
