I've received an offer to teach for don Quijote schools in Madrid. I'm wondering if anyone if familiar with that school, their programs, and reputation. If so- please let me know!!
I'm eager to live and teach in Spain, but I don't want to get on board with a place and have it end up being unreliable or a sham. Also, I do have a Master's in TESL and a few years teaching experience, so I am looking for a place that would use (and appropriately compensate) my qualifications.
Any feedback is helpful! Thank you! |

While don Quijote is a reputable Spanish language school in Spain- beware a scammer that is scamming in their name. I responded to an add for an English teacher posted on a well-known Spanish job website. They responded and told me that don Quijote wants to expand their services by offering conversational English classes, and that they wanted to hire me to teach.
A couple of emails in I got suspicious and contacted don Quijote, who confirmed that is it a scam. I strung the scammer along a little bit, and found that they were trying to get a few hundred euros out of me for a "visa processing fee". Watch out for this and don't waste your time! |
