Hello Cosimocubs

There really isn't a straight forward answer to any of your questions.

The best I can recommend is reading through the job ads for China on ESL cafe. They will give you an idea of salaries, living expenses and the like.

As for age group, that's entirely what you want to do. They younger they are, the more likely it will be fun and games. Older children need a different approach and often need challenging. This is the age group I prefer. Then there are adult which need a completely different way to be motivated.

Finally location. Again, up to you. Do you want to be part of a sprawling metropolis? Or be in a more sedate city? Or go one further and be in some far flung corner of China that barely has basic amenities such as electricity?

The key thing is to research as much as possible, talk to as many people about their experiences such as on here and ask potential employers questions.

Hope that helps.

min salary around 5000Y with extra for large expensive cities,

Age like westy said depends on you (i would avoid teenagers). Children will give you an easier subject but more difficult behavioral issues and adults/uni the opposite.

You said you wanted not to be the only whitey so would probably mean a Chinese city = sprawling metropolis.

Best of luck
Tom
