anybody have any experience (or knowledge) working with them in Taiwan?

Never worked there myself. I had a friend work for them in Hsinchu several years back. I seem to remember he had sort of strange hours day and night spread out through the week, but he enjoyed it, and his co-workers. This is not to say that he didn't suffer through some nonsense and occasional strange situations, but that comes with the territory. He was kind of a no-nonsense kind of guy so I doubt he would have stayed if it was something bad. I went to a couple of parties with him and his boss/coworkers and we all had a very good time. Hope that helps. This was around 2003-2004.
