I'm looking for a reliable source for homestay information in Santa Ana. So far I've looked on Craigslist; are there other good sources?

Should I just show up in the city and start looking then?

Some of the schools have homestays. I was thinking of Intercultura in Heredia. But you may have to take Spanish classes and the homestay was on the expensive side.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm looking to find a resource outside the school system if possible. Maybe someone that has stayed with a family there before? The homestay options through the schools are crazy expensive!

I'll be training at a jiu-jitsu gym in Santa Ana...hopefully someone there has a family member or friend that has a room to rent. I'm going down without any formal plan, so it'll be run-and-gun!
