Well... it may be a bit more balanced, but there was nothing in there that would convince me that it would be a place that I would invest my money.
I got a chuckle out of this paragraph:

Based on my experience and readings about the UAE, I'd say the 'soap opera' definition is more accurate than not. But it's not the "people" of either Emirate, it's the two royal families which have been in competition for as long as the history of these Emirates.

Good article, though I suspect VS has a very valid point. In any case, I'm rooting for Dubai to re-emerge stronger once the crisis subsides. If it was an ADD adolescent on steroids before, it's probably more like the same kid on massive doses of Ritalin. |
