You don't need an MA to get a decent job in a tertiary institute on full benefits.
Far less crime and you can drop your wallet and someone (including you) will pick it up and run after the one who dropped it
The sun
Most things are available
lack of things to do so it is always good to get back home

Lack of crime sounds good. And the sun of course. What about the actual job part? Happy? Thanks |

Goodness - no politics, Splitting Hairs? Where do you work? I have never worked anywhere in the world where there weren't office politics, or perhaps you were referring to the actual government here?
Which tertiary insitutions provide decent employment plus full benefits to those without MAs + relevant experience? The only one I'm aware of is the British Council.
The sun is indeed pleasant, unfortunately the temperatures are not (officially 50+C/120F yesterday in Fujairah) |

Have you made friends with locals or is there an informal segregation, including at work? |

There is some social interaction in work settings where nationals are also employed. Most often, it is not very extensive - the odd dinner invite, an invitation to a wedding etc. perhaps having a coffee. |
