Dude, you're not really serious about finding a tanning salon in Vietnam are you.
First off it's pretty sunny in Ho Chi Minh, so if one wanted to tan they would be best off just going outside. There are plenty of swimming pools around the city.
Secondly, as a business proposition a tanning salon would be an immediate failure due to the fact that there is really no market. This is because most Vietnamese strive to have very white skin even going so far as to use bleaching agents. That's why you see everyone on their motorbikes completely covered from head to toe, despite the fact that it's sweltering out. This has to do with social classes being determined by appearance, and dark skin is associated with working in the fields |

Try going to Mui Ne or Phu Quoc and take up wind surfing or kite surfing for a month. If you don't tan after that and have a good time I might add then..... I guess you'll just have to stay white. |

Ha, that's a perfect example of the type of people that post on this site. I use this site sparingly, only when I can't find the answer any where else whereas many people seem to like to actually socialize on 'Dave ESL Cafe'. Look, now you've got me sucked into your esl website world. I have a female friend coming to visit me from the US and likes the all over tan look. She asked me about tanning salons in VN, I said I have no idea. I get on this site and ask a simple question and get all of these funny little responses. What is the motivation? I would like to ask your deity, Dave himself. Why do your minions behave in this manner Dave? |

Get a grip sweetheart, and just tell her to sit outside in the sun. It's cheaper. |

I have to be honest, here.
A thread in a tropical hot country about.....tanning salons? Year round sunshine and temperatures averaging 80+ degrees F. Right now it's over 90+ degrees.
Who would use them. Dark skin is considered to be very negative in Asia.
To answer your question.
NO!!!!!
They do NOT have tanning salons, here.
I won't go any further.
