Dez it is a little Beijing. Lots of foreigners and foreign eating establishments. Very new city. Will they be able to understand your Scotich accent and reproduce those long RRRRRRRRRRRs you people are famous for? And despite what the say I don't think you are the worst of the worst but the most hospitable people to spend time with in the UK.

I was joking about the Scotish accent. Chinese are very accepting about accents. I have just made a few stop overs there. I have never looked for work. The city is very prosperous. Let me know if you have something because I am in between jobs at the moment and am in Nanchang, which is about three hours away by bullet train.

It's a nice clean city with a north south layout much like Beijing. I ran into many foreigners there. Because it is in Hunan the birthplace of Mao I think there is old crony money there.

So you moved to Changsa without any clue as to a job ? It's been how long now ? 5 or 6 months ?

You should REALLY think things through it seems.
