Hi everyone,
I wanted to invite you all to a free workshop on Academic Testing. A well-known publisher will be represented, and it could offer interesting insight to those who teach (and test) university-level students. I don't know about you, but I'm constantly having to write exams (and grade them! arg!).
"The workshop will make use of a large number of different innovative test item types to ensure a complete picture of candidates language abilities and to minimize the dependency on multiple choice items.
The tasks operationalized in the tests will require interactive and integrative usage of language skills.
In this workshop the speaker, John H.A.L. de Jong, will demonstrate how all four skills, reading, writing, speaking and listening will be addressed in a single session and how student responses will be rated centrally to avoid dependence on local tolerance for internationally less effective usages."
Date: May 16th
Time: 2pm to 5pm
Venue: Telecom ParisTech, 49 rue Vergniaud, 75013 Paris
Register online at: http://www.tesol-france.org/
Again, it's free. Everyone is invited!
See you there! |
