hi

i know there is a little bit of discussion about visas on the first posts, but could anyone answer the following specifically as i have read conflicting info on vietnam visa websites and esl sites.

FIRST i will get a 1 month single entry tourist visa for vietnam (cost 33 usd bought in thailand).
Then,
1) if my proposed employer wishes to officially give me work visa, can this be done - considering my initial visa type ?
2) if they want me to sort out my own visa situation, can i get a 3 month or 6 month multiple entry visa. Note : i have read on internet that you CAN NOT get a multiple entry visa if your first visa was a single entry. And then there is the thing about business vs tourist. Should my initial visa have been a 1 month business ?? _ this is what you have to do in Cambodia.

It would be very useful to know the price of 3 and 6 month multiple entry visa bought in Hanoi. Internet sites talk of being unable to purchase these at immigration - instead you have to use travel agents.

I could have got a 6 month multiple entry for 145 usd, but whats the point if a) my school wants me to have a proper work visa and b) they are cheaper to get in vietnam anyway.

Regards,
Confused

You should be fine with what you've got. Many prospective teachers enter Vietnam with the same paperwork.
