Keep in mind at the moment I have not completed by degree yet (4th) but I do have a TESL Diploma.

What do you think of these two positions? I have uploaded the offers with the links at the bottom.

Thanks in advance.

Okay... wow...
The first one... I don't know how old you are but being a University position you could have problems with them respecting you as a teacher. Or you can form a bond being close in age. Also their is more paid vacation time so you can see China.
I would only choose the second one if you don't feel comfortable with College students. Middle school students are in the I don't care mood all the time.

Hope this helps! 1st one... pay and most of them want to learn english.

I'd keep looking, but that's just me. Neither would appeal to me.

Second one pays more and you are required to work less hours. I'd go for the second one.

I too would choose the second one.
It is a standard sort of job and can easily be done by you if you forget your TESL training!
Just find out from the Chinese teachers what they want you to do and for 18 times a week you do it!!
Paying for your own gas? Just hope that the previous person in your apartment has left some in the cylinder, or that will be your first problem IF you want to do your own cooking, just bring 3000 RMB with you for your first month (until you get paid) and you could eat out 3 times a day for the whole month!

neither hold any special appeal to me. If I had to choose between only these two jobs it would only be on the basis of personal preference over students ages.

Neither contract offers outstanding or exceptional wages...and the places dont appeal to me in the slightest either...esp the temperature range quoted!!! Anywhere that could be -20c isnt going to be a place I want to be Smile

Likewise, I agree with what nickpellatt wrote. The same would hold true for me as well.
