If anyone could direct me to the best places to live in Jeddah, that would be great. I am probably not going to be able to live in a compound, so finding an affordable place in a nice area will become paramount.
Is it possible to live on the coast? Is it possible to live in a boat? Is it wise to live near one's place of work? Is traveling through and around the city difficult?
On another note -- what is the best means of traveling? What do most people do to get around? I heard that motorbikes are often stolen. Is that true? What about a bicycle (I think this would be too exhausting, but still the query)?
Much appreciated! |

Where will you be working? And how much are you willing to pay per month/year?
On the coast is too expensive. Answer the 2 questions and I can direct you.
Best means of travelling is a car. Whether your own or a taxi. Bikes and bicycles are too dangerous. And it is bloody boiling here. I don't think you want to arrive at work or on a date all sweaty! And there are no bicycle lanes nor too drivers acknowledge their existence on the streets. They are used by the labor class. |
