I have a question for those that are in, or have been in Saudi Arabia. I have noticed that many English schools and Universities are more interested in hiring males. Is there a place for women in the educational arena of Saudi Arabia? If there is what school can I teach in?
Thanks Smile

You can teach in primary schools where the segregation is not imposed but after that you would have to teach in a girls school. Universities are also opening women's buildings and you should look into these also.

More like they have had women's sections for decades.

This doesn't make sense to me. Men are hired to teach men and women are hired to teach women. Given that >50% of the students in universities in SA are females, I don't see how you can't find a job.

Huh Question

Those sections that were opened decades ago are STILL open. And obviously, they hire women only. What are you saying?

And I have not heard of a university which was men only and is now opening a women's section. All the universities that I know of in this country have both sections, male and female (obviously, aside from military and vocational/technical colleges).

Dear 12 monkeys,

You're welcome - and thanks for being so civil about my meddling.

Regards,
John
