| As there will be a big celebration in T[] coming in Oct and it is already apparent that visas will go through a somewhat similar tail twisting as made famous by last summers folly aka the Olympics....I have heard tale that the F visas have already begun to be limited .. and nothing after September has been issued...most of the international schools have told their employees to have paperwork in by the 9th... |

My understanding is the same except for the international schools bit. I am unaware of that.
All in-country F visas will be limited to September 30, 2009 as well as F visas in Hong Kong and Macau. Tourist visas will revert, apparently, to single-entry 30-day visas with confirmed hotel and airplane reservations required. |

What about folks who entered the country on a Z visa and are working legally on an FRP from that visa?
Do folks working fully legally have any worries about this? |

No worries. My last RP expired three weeks before the start of the Olympic Games; it was renewed in Beijing for a further twelve months without any hassles whatsoever, as was my FEC.
Don't anticipate this year being any different. |

| October 1st comes every year - at least on my calendar. Why instill un-needed panic ? Hit by the "swine flu?" |

| Just heard an unconfirmed notice that Beijing is not providing any work invite letters for the US or Mexico, temporarily...havent heard of any restrictions if you already have a Z visa and leave to the US for a few weeks. |
