Thank you for this forum and all the information sharing and exchanging. Truly, some amazing ideas, thoughts, and perspectives. I have a couple of questions, I hope they have not already been answered. Is there a demand for online teaching in Dubai or a Hybrid (Blended learning)?
Have been teaching online and on ground business classes in higher education for the past five years. What is a realisitc salary expectation(have seen some skewed numbers in posts)? Most posts believe the direct approach is the best for attaining employment (go directly to the University or College). Have applied to a number of colleges (mostly recommended on this site) and have not gotten any replies as of yet. Any ideas on how to create more awareness? Any of your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your help.

Not really a demand for it as colleges provide ILC's or people tend to prefer face to face teaching |

What are your education and experience? Many tertiary institutions look for Masters degrees in a directly related field if not a Phd. plus years of actual industry or education experience.
Also, outside of AUS, HCT, UAEU, ZU and PI - many of the positions held in other institutions in whatever faculty are filled by other Arab or Indian or Pakistani nationals who will work for half the salary Westerners will. Not saying it's fair, it's a fact of life in the GCC. |
