With the possibility of a job in the UAE w/ADEC I'm hoping someone would be willing/able to answer some questions:
Is the monthly salary in a check or direct deposit?
How easy is it to transfer funds to a US bank to pay bills (mortgage, car loan, credit card, etc.) or do I even need to do that? (not pay bills but transfer $)
I there anything you can think of that maybe I don't know about that would make things easier.
Thanks in advance! |

There have been threads discussing this in detail so you might try a search. Employers have been direct depositing salary into the bank since the '80s in the Gulf... way before the US even thought of it.
Transfers are easy - but can be pricey as you tend to be charged on both ends, and the internet has made it simple to pay your bills out of your US account. I used to just get a bank check every few months and mail it to my US bank... cheap and easy.
You will have lots of options and I would wait until I get there to worry about it, but I would have enough money in my US account to make any needed payments for at least 3-4 months.
