As I mentioned, my husband and I are major procrastinators. Are jobs only available now for the fall, or can you find a job anytime of year? |

Are you aware that you can edit your posts? Instead of starting a new thread, you could have just added this question to your other post. In the upper right corner, there is a button that says "edit".
The answer to your question is that for universities and schools, the hiring is mostly done from Jan through Mar. (special contract jobs like the ones you see here on ADEC are late because of Ministry procrastination... you will fit right in to the system but those jobs require a teaching certificate from your home country).
Normal hiring for the semester beginning in Aug/Sept is mostly finished because of the amount of time it takes them to do all the paperwork with the government. There is a limited amount of hiring done for second semester openings and you often find ads just after the beginning of the academic year to start in Jan/Feb.
