There are some new schools opening in Vung Tau and it might be worth a try. Being close to the sea and fresh air sure sounds appealing even though the salary must be lower.
I went room searching a few months ago and found a room at an older hotel with a fantastic view of the beach on the 4th floor. They said 90,000 VND a day long term ( more than a month ) and 150,000 VND short term(daily).
Even if the school only paid $12 an hour it might be worth the move.
Vung Tau has a Lotteria, and plenty of bars, and cafes, discos, and a cool sea breeze night and day.
There are 3 schools that i'm aware off at this date. One is Cleverlearn. |

yes, i agree. very pleasant place to stay. back beach hotels have some great deals with motorbike included.
cleverlearn, ila, vtac (never looked open when i checked it out) and other smaller companies i seem to remember.
and if youre experienced, big money teaching the oil workers.
also there are teachers there who commute into saigon too (private transport or the hydofoil which is very fast). couple of nights saigon then back 'home' to vung tau - sort of thing. |
