Hello hello,
I thought I'd split the thread as things have got more specific. I was offered a chemistry a level job with dipont. initially they would not give me a school and wanted me to sign a contract. i've held out and they have offered me this school.
Does anyone have any experience working there? Or just generally about the haidian district?
Many thanks. |

This is either a middle or high Chinese school.
There is absolutely nothing to do in Haidian. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Haidian.
From downtown to Haidian by taxi, one hour but 2 hours during rush hour. 45 mins by subway. |

My classmate used to teach here in 1994, but just one month, he quit. The school has nothing special. I guess most of students here do not speak english well, it will be quite challenging teaching them chemistry.
Haidian is famous for its academic atmosphere, also called "college district", it becomes more and more commercial. it is not so boring to live there. |
