When I was in Thailand (2000-2006), to get my work permits I needed to get a medical certificate from a doctor. All that meant was going to any clinic, paying 50-75 baht, and the signed/stamped certificate would be handed over.
I'm returning soon and would like to know if this still the routine. I'm asking this 'cause in 2007 in China I had a medical and there was some enzyme thing so the Chinese doc gave me herbal meds and it was ok after. But I don't want to have any probs in Thailand with this. DOES IT STILL WORK THE SAME WAY IN THAILAND TO GET A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE AS WHEN I WAS THERE?

| Yes it does and from memory, when I renewed my visa/WP last November, they didn't even ask for a medical certificate (even though I had one). It might be the particular WP/Imm office though. In the past, I have even got a medical certificate from the doctor's nurse who just took my money without examining anything. Doubt if you'll have any cause to worry but with this being Thailand, how would you know? |

| Only one difference : it's a little bit more expensive (around 200 B) ! |
