Hi,
sorry if im asking any questions which have been answered in the forums, however all questions asked seem to get good quality specific answers, and i have a few specific questions.
Case is, im 24, male, Australian, have a university degree and am TESOL certified, have dual citizenship -Australia and Malta, so have an EU Passport
I am leaving Australia for KL on 4 august, originally planned to travel asia/india for 4-5 months to then arrive in Spain in dec to look for work at start of second trimester in jan. however i am thinking that i may only have around 2000 euro by then and it will not be enough to set up in spain as i will need to look for work, pay for month rent, bond etc and have to wait a month to get paid once I finally do get a job.
So am starting to think maybe changing plans, flying to spain mid august to look for work that starts in september.
ok now what i would like to know is:
if wanting to start work in sep how early should i get to spain to find work?? is there anything i can do now to help my chances once i get there (email CV's and cover sheet to language schools??))
i would arrive there in mid august, is that enough time to find work for sep? I dont have much experience, just prac for Dip ED. i am doing in aus and tesol pracs. will i be able to get a job with out expereince that still pays alright??
How much will it cost to initiallsy set up in spain?? and what lifestyle will the wages afford me??
I would lilke to probably find somewhere down south, maybe Seville...
I am happy to live in share house, but a nice place.
I know wages arent much in spain, but im aware the living costs would be quite cheap, so would i be paid enough to:
i) live in a nice neighbourhood, in a moderately nice apartment
ii)to be able to eat well, (but i enjoy cooking so not just eating out)
iii)drink beers and smoke ciggarettes
iv)be able to put a hundred (2 hundred !?) euro a way a month for the odd roadie when time permits
v)have a fair bit of fun
would love any suggestions on how to obtain work once in spain and any other information in regard to moving to spain to work as an english teacher,
cheers
