Hiya,
I am planning a trip to Indonesia in Dec/Jan and am looking for some schools to contact.
My initial research leads me to believe that Jakarta and Surabaya are big, unpleasant cities (although full of work), but that Yogyakarta is an interesting place worth a year-long stay.
So, I am asking for the names of any schools you know in Yogya, especially that you have had experience with.
I am an experienced ESL teacher with a BA and MA (TESOL) from a reputable Australian university, plus 2+ years full-time experience working with adults in an Australian university. I am currently studying a BA in Primary Education so am happy to work with children. My experience is mostly in lower levels anyway.
Thanks for your help!! |

In Yogya stay well clear of REAL English - horror stories abound at the way they have screwed around with people in the past. With a BA Ed you sdhould be aiming higher than an average language mill. Have you considered Bandung, Bogor, Medan? None of them idyllic but quite liveable places. |
