Hi
I'm a newbie on my way over to Taiwan to teach. I have been in contact with a school called Super Star School (that is what the contract says anyways) in Taipei. Can anyone give me any information on them? How long they have been around? Any good news or bad news would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The news is not good Im afraid. It looks as if this school should probably be avoided, or at least worth checking out more carefully. Check out the following:

It could be just a disgruntled employee, but you would have to assume that this is an accurate synopsis, unless of course someone has something positive to add. |

The post Brian listed above is the only public report on that school and it is unconfirmed. If you can give me the address and/ or the names of the supervisors I might be able to match that information with other reports. It is common for schools to change names often. |

How exactly do you confirm reports made by teachers? I mean surely the teacher is going to stick by what they say, and the school is going to stick with their opinion on going's on. That is no doubt why there was a dispute in the first place. How do you get one party to agree that the other parties version is a true and factual account and therefore 'a confirmed complaint'. Is your idea of confirmation merely a judgement call on who you think is right and wrong, or is there some other way that you quanitify these judgements? Just curious. |
