Hey everyone...
I'm considering applying for part-time teaching in Taiwan because I also teach classes online already. I'm wondering if anyone could give me advice on internet service in Taiwan. Is it reliable, high speed?
Thanks! |

I love my high-speed connection, but I believe that only Taiwanese locals can get an account because it requires a multi-year contract (yes?). Most people I know have it as part of their building/rental contract (ie, it's in the landlord's name or some other party's name). However, I don't know everyone, so... any other info out there?
(Does TEALIT have something on this? Couldn't find anything.)

I've had my high-speed internet connection for a year now. I use it everyday and have experienced only two days where there was an outage, for less than an hour each time.
I was able to get the contract myself. I called the company and spoke with a rep who could speak enough English to understand what I wanted, and the next day I was connected. They offered 3, 6, and 12 month contracts.
I'm in Taoyuan, so I don't know if it's different in Taipei or elsewhere. |
