Does anyone have any insights about travel insurance for Peru? Do people usually get health insurance before they go? I plan to stay about three months with a possible/probable extension, but I've only got the first three months planned out as yet. So I'll most likely be working under the table; i.e. no insurance through a school.
Also, does anyone know of any reputable American travel insurance agencies?
Apologies for such a broad question; I'm just a little overwhelmed about where to begin.
Thanks in advance. |

If you serach for travel insurance on yahoo you'll find lots of stuff. BUt really, it's pretty expensive. I don't use any, so you should be fine. If you want to get it, go ahead, plan on paying about 1K usd a year, at least. |
