|
|
I have this friend (no really, it's not me!) who is studying circus arts. Are there any places in the greater Nagoya area (especially in Nagoya-shi or parts south and west) where she can practice (i.e. not just a gym but a place with real circus equipment: silks, trapeze, hoops, etc)? You all are always helpful. Do you know of any such place, or can you help me search for one myself?
EDIT: I have been googling, of course. I know the kanji for all the keywords, like "circus" and "Nagoya," but with my poor reading skills it takes forever to skim the results for anything relevant. English google doesn't turn up anything. |

OK, it doesn't look like you guys know exactly if such a place exists, so...
Can you tell me about a good gym in Nagoya, so I can call them and ask them if they know a place? |

No, there is no place like this in Nagoya.
The best you'd be able to come up with is a good gym that does gymnastics, which you should be able to find doing a Google search, in and around Nagoya. |

Circus De Soleil performs in Nagoya every year, I believe in the summer. Maybe your friend could contact them and find out if they train in Aichi. |

Circus arts haven't really caught on as a hobby for normal people here yet and there aren't a large number of circuses in Japan, so it's pretty unlikely you'd find a place other than wherever it is the Cirque du Soleil people practice. |

Thanks for the replies, guys. I didn't think it was a big deal here either, but even in a small city like Atlanta there are such places. I figured Nagoya might. Oh well. |
