I'm really interested in working in Bali and wondering if anyone knows who I should get in touch with. I've already been in touch with EF but they are all split into many franchises and i ended up communicating with someone who only had schools in java and batam.

Does anyone have any advice or information on working in Bali? Or does anyone know what EF in Bali is like? any comments would be very much aprreciated. Thanks

Depending on your qualifications and experience there are several regular schools that employ expats in addition to language mills like EF. There is an Australian international school in Seminyak and a branch of Gandhi Memorial School not far away.

Bali is a fantastic place to visit and I holiday there every year. Not sure I'd like to live there permanently, however, due to persistent touts on every street corner. After a few months I imagine it would get a little tedious.

talking only of the EF

I forget the exact deal, but it seemed to me that they know that many people want to live in Bali, so they will offer you next to nothing because they know they will find someone willing to practically volunteer there. I stopped by there (EF on the outskirts of Depasar heading back to Sanur) and talked to a nice lady about working there with no teaching cert or real teaching experience, and at first she said I would need at least a tefl cert, but after a good conversation she suggested I throw a CV together and get back to her to see what she could do because she did have some vurtual class room stuff going on or something. I forget exactly, but I did have a friend that worked there and he liked the school, but he only got paid ABOUT 5 million rupiah per month and no housing or anything....
