|
|
Hello!
I hit search on this forum for anyone who may have commented on this city or school, but nothing came up.
Does anyone know anything about:
1. English Square (Sounds like a language school; they have 300 students, many kids, afternoon and evening hours, etc.)
2. Tokushima, Shikoku
I have googled and know the stats, but has anyone lived there, worked there, gone to school there? (as they have a university with some foreign students)
The school/company have posted their job on Dave's Cafe. A friend of mine is interested in coming to Japan for that post.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks. |

From what I could read on the Japanese page, the woman in charge did study as an international student at San Diego State University.
I also applied with them a couple of days ago but haven't heard anything yet.
I have never been there, but I used to know an English teacher who taught way back in the day at a NOVA branch there. She loved Tokushima. |

Thank you, ...cvmurrieta!
Yes, I like the way this women gives clear description of what she will or will not do for the incoming employee. However, she also has an urgency in her emails (to my friend) about getting someone signed up ASAP--for a job opening in July!
Tokushima area looks beautiful from what I saw on their website, but pictures can be deceiving. Glad to know your friend loved the place.
So, I am assuming you are in Japan righ now. Is that true? English Square School is looking for one person to fill on job both domestically and internationally. Interesting. My friend would be coming from overseas.
Hmmm... |

Oops-sorry. I have a few typos in my 1st reply.
I need to slow down and re-read! |

Yes, I am in northern Japan right now. My friend who used to work at NOVA used to take the ferry from Wakayama Prefecture to visit Tokushima. I think it took about two hours. If your friend is hired, I am sure your friend would also be able to meet other nice people on the Japan Exchange and Teaching program. |

I live in Tokushima. I haven't been here very long, but if you can be a bit more specific about what you want to know, I can try and find out for you! |
