I've received a response from a potential employer stating that I need specific TESOL certificates either from Trinity or RSA. Has anyone heard of these or know what he is talking about? I have a one year TESL certificate from a well established college in Toronto and am wondering if it would suffice?
P.S. Anyone who has taught in Indonesia - is it possible to come home with any savings after a one year contract? |

RSA is basically the same as the CELTA, as far as I can make out.
Yep you can save if you decide to. I went to Thailand, Malaysia and Sumatra at the end of my contract, and still had money to bring home. |

Hi Winmar,
How much can I save after a year? Optimally speaking.
Thanks,

Ask the employer. For my school any 4-week TEFL certificate was good.

Yes. I've been here 7 months, and find I am saving about half of what I make. I should go back home with a few thousand saved up. |
