i am coming to taiwan in a coupl of weeks. i plan to stay at least one year, maybe more.
should i get travel insurance for the whole year from the uk before i leave?
i was planning on just getting it for a month or so until i have secured a job but it seems that you have to buy it for the entire duration of your trip or it is invalid.
it costs about 300 for a year - i guess thats about NT$20000
how good is the health cover that you will get from your employer? |

According to the law you are supposed to get health insurance once you obtain legal employment. However many employers simply ignore that and refuse to give foreign employees health insurance. Particularly schools and institutions associated with the government.
Traveler's insurance is a good idea. |
