this is a link to an article in the Thanh Nien Newspaper

http://www.thanhniennews.com/2010/Pages/Shady-education-practices-corrupt-young-minds.aspx

This article talks about corruption in the "public sector" of education, for those of you coming here to teach 95% will be working in the "private sector" where corruption can be 2 - 3 times that, IMO.

It is good to see an article like this. It is good to talk about it. Education is the future for Vietnam. The natural resources will run soon and what will be left? The future is education and training.

And this is like Part 2 of the corruption situation here in VN and another reason why the changes are so slow and not very forth-coming.

I truly believe that the education situation here IS and WILL BE improving but really don't have any idea as to how to predict when these changes will be substantial enough to make for an over-all improvement to be closer to International Values.

But I hope it's sooner rather than later!
