Has anyone here done the academic year (or summer) Master of Arts in Teaching ESOL program at the SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont?

I would like to know about the pluses and minuses of the programs, what you thought was really good or lacking, and if you would recommend the program.

I might decide to do the program starting in Fall 2009 if I can here at least some solid commentary about SIT's program.

I want a good TEFL/TESOL program that will build upon the skills I have already gained in my 5 years of teaching abroad. I also want that program to be on the ground, not a distance learning program. A teaching practicum is also a must.

Thank you all for your time in advance!

Gets excellent reviews. I'm not actually an SIT grad, but did some teacher training qualifications through them.

I'm also affiliated faculty there now, which means I'm authorized to work worldwide on their various teacher training programs. If you'd like to correspond with holders of the SIT MAT, send me a PM or an email and I'll put you in touch.

Best,
Justin

I sent you an e-mail, let me know if you did/didn't receive it. I'd love to hear from some distant or recent grads.

I can't PM you because I guess I haven't posted 1000 times yet..

Anyway, I got your e-mail and yes, you can send on my contacts. I'd love to hear from some recent grads.

Thanks again!
