Hi all:)

My wife and I are in the process of deciding where to work for the next year or two. We haven't worked in Japan before and were wondering how much tax we could expect to pay on my wife's salary of approx 6 million yen. I would also be hoping to obtain a dependent visa and permission to work part-time. From previous posts, I am hoping that I could also earn around 1.2 m yen per year.

Any rough estimates of total tax for the first and second year would be greatly appreciated.
