Can resumes be used like other information that's commonly associated with fraud? (passport ids, etc.)
Wondering if it's safe to send resumes before knowing for sure a school is legit. |

YOu should be fine. I think people who deal with identiy fraud pry on people with money and us teachers don't often fall into that category. |

Whether there is a problem with this in the TEFL industry I don't know. However, identity theft using details from CVs has occurred in other areas. The general advice is to keep the personal data to a minimum.
The following details are useful to any would-be fraudster and therefore should be omitted where possible:
full address
date of birth
place of birth
marital status
For instance, of these I only include my address. The CV is just a means of sifting through applicants - work experience and education are generally the main criteria, so leaving out the personal data shouldn't make any difference. It can easily be provided at a later date. |

Depends on where you apply. The info listed by Kofola is usually required for applications in Japan. |

I have my DOB, marital status, and for the place I live, I just list the city. |
