Greetings from China where I am finishing up a contract. I will head to South America at the end of September. I have a college diploma and am working on a university degree. I have no problem staying for 1 year.
Where are the jobs in Peru? How difficult will it be to secure a job? Is it better to get the job first or travel to Peru and then look? How is the visa situation?
I really appreciate any help

Jobs are in LIma, trujillo, Arequipa and Cusco for the most part.

You'll probably be illegal.

Better to travel here first and then look. YOu get 180 days on a tourist visa and then either border hop and get 180 more, or pay a dollar a day for overstahing.
