I have an interview coming up for Brunei. What are the typical questions they ask, are they more pedagogical, or are they more interested in knowing about past experience? I shouldn't have a problem, but it would be great if i could get a head's up. Thx folks.

Not sure if all interviews the same but I had mine recently and was asked a real variety of questions including giving examples of how I dealt with things in certain situations - the one that stood out was about students who lacked motivation, how would I inspire them to learn English.
Also asked about the cultural differences between Brunei and my home country - in my case the UK. I was asked how I would be sensitive to cultural differences and also how I would ensure that I was sensitive to the differning groups in the staff room - CfBT staff and local teachers. I was asked about extra curricular and what I could offer. Another question asked about my experiences in the classroom, espeically teaching English as a second language - seems a very important area!! And I do recall something about how I would feel being asked to take part in national/cultural events.
My interview was quite detailed - about 40 minutes. I can't remember much more but I felt the teachanywhere representative who interviewed me was very supportive. Hope this helps - and good luck! Razz
