Does anybody know anything about importing a car into Libya?
Are there any Customs penalties?
Is there a specified time limit as to how long the car may stay in country? What are the import duties, if known?

Any advice would be welcome.

Maybe check the replies and if unsatisfactory, post your own question. The expats there seem helpful enough.

It seems a temporary import is possible with few fees attached but how long Libyans consider "temporary" is anyone's guess.

Failing that, maybe a call to a Libyan Embassy somewhere ?
