The Maple Leaf company is a food processing company in Toronto Canada and it's been owned by a former, now passed away, Maple Leafs (hockey team) owner. However, in China it is an educational institution under a name of Maple Leaf Foreign Language Schools. A "Maple Leaf" post on another forum and an event from a couple weeks ago involving reps of the Maple Leaf in China have prompted me to post on here.
So, on a sunny weekend a couple weeks ago, we had a big promotional event at our center. Many students and their parents came. Three Maple Leaf reps were standing in front of our school gate promoting their own school. Nobody could possibly miss their huge poster or the fine looking young reps with flyers. Highly unethical? Well, I've been told others do the same in China.
Cheers and beers to the Chinese way competetion that takes the quality of product seriously |
