I have been told that there have been some fairly big changes in gettting a Z visa for a teacher.

Teachers must now come from one of the 6 countries (U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia, U.K., Ireland), and have 3 years teaching experience.

This comes from my dos who is having trouble getting visas for new staff. It was apparently changed in the last week or so.

That would be difficult for French and German schools...or schools that teach any other foreign language but English...

I hope that's not the case.

In which province are you? AFAIK these kind of changes don't always affect the whole country at once...

Sichan, and this province has been getting a few breaks because of the earthqake.

OK, thanks. My FAO has not yet mentioned any problems processing my application and I'm not from one of those six countries. We'll see how it goes.
