I had an interview there last week. It sounds like a great opportunity. They said they would be shortlisting the next day, and then they did not call me... so i called and the man who gave me the interview said that the head of the department left for China and that they would be shortlisting next... fingers crossed!!

Anything other people should know about for this organisation? They look too good to be true I must say and seem to advertise every 3 months or so..

Whenever I have seen the LSC's advertisements on TEFL.com, they always say that the pay on offer is "up to" �30,000 per year.

I have always been suspicious of the words, "up to", because, as far as I am concerned, they can mean almost anything - you could, in theory, be paid as low as the minimum wage!

Just because an employer allegedly promises an applicant "up to" a certain sum, that in no way should be interpreted as being an indication that that sum will be offered or even anything like that. The employer will simply pay you what he or she is prepared to pay - nothing more.

The message from the (would-have-been) employer is simply: if you don't like what I'm offering you, then go away - I'll always bag someone else who's bound to be so naive that they'll believe anything!

Every 3 months eh? that is quite a turnover if the team is a small one.
Four teachers a year, two per semester, that could be interpreted as a new team every year
Ask yourself how many teachers there are on their EFL team.
