I have an opportunity to teach in one of these cities.
I was wondering what are the pro's and con's of
both cities and why ?

The only answers that make sense would be the answers you could give to your own questions; I suggest you explore these two places (not sure where 'Zhangjiang' is).

I lived in Zhanjiang for a year and it's nice city but small and a bit "backwater." I liked it. If you like the beach, and I do, it's a good place. There are not many foreigners there and you'll be stared at like you're from anther planet at times. The people are nice and relatively friendly and the cost of living is low. Dongguan will be more modern has things like Starbucks and Papa John's, if things like that are important to you. It's near both Guangzhou and Shenzhen if you like being near major metropolitan areas. It's also near Hong Kong.
