Has anyone heard anything about American Tesol Institute's special Thai Project? Has anyone done the program? Can I get some feedback on if it is a scam or if it is worth doing? Thanks! |

It's not a scam, but it does have its downfalls. I have heard that the course itself is pretty good but you dont have much, if any, say in where you you will work for the job placement after the course. If you are up for an adventure and looking for an inexpensive TEFL course, then its a good option. If you are looking to do ESL/EFL teaching for a while, I would opt for the CELTA as it is basically the most highly recognized cert. (along with Trinity). Although its probably about twice the cost as well so... |

Hi,
I have just signed up for the Special Thai Project in Phuket for Oct 2009 with American Institute (TESOL) with 3 week qualification nad 4 month placement.
Has anyone been on this and could tell me what it is like?
Do they meet you on arrival, if so do you know who you meet as i will be going on my own and have never been to Thailand!
Roughly how many people go on this course?
If anyone has been on this or has signed up for it in Oct 2009 please get in touch would really appreciate it |
