Comment: Good luck on "demanding" that the issues are resolved before June 24.

The bottom feeder employers are notorious for these kinds of practices. They count on (a) people want to get out for the summer (or permanently) (b) that the dissenters will have at most 30 days from the time of resignation to stay legally in the country - from the date of the cancellation of their work visa, after that they will have to do visa runs at their own expense.

Never heard of this employer - however, what did the teachers sign? One seems to think it was a one year contract (unusual in the GCC in my experience) and has now "been told" it was a 3 year contract. Did they not read it before signing?

Nibras management truly are bottom feeders. Senior management includes:

Al J(Emirati owner and lead lunatic)
Jihad (Lebanese owner)
Amal (Lebanese owner and dentist/butcher)
Saad(Lebanese self appointed head of non-existent empire)
John(American ostrich with no verifiable credentials)

The folks listed above need to be avoided at all costs. This school needs to be avoided by teachers and parents alike no matter what. A week ago, those listed above conspired to defraud honest teachers who had fulfilled their contracts from their end of contract money. Under pretense that , the school switched 1 year for 3 year contracts for teachers and then declared the teachers as breaking their contracts with of course penalties. This is a complete lie. These teachers did nothing more than honor their original and true contracts. Once again there has been a major defection of teachers from this school and many parents will not be bringing their kids back this coming year leaving those with renewing contracts or new contracts to have little or no students to teach, in other words teachers will arrive, many paying their own airfare, and then not get repaid and with no job. If you have any ties to this school, this is your warning that you will get burned if you work for them. I believe this story will continue to unfold...
