ADU is hiring teachers for its 5 week summer program without offering work visas. Teachers will be independent contractors working on tourist visas.
Can a visitor legally work as an independent contractor in the UAE? Is getting paid likely to be a problem?
Thanks. |

Use the Search-function above wordsmith, type in "ADU", and, read!

Thanks, NCTBA. I did read the ADU thread. Will look again, though. |

I've been looking but I still haven't found the info I'm looking for. Will keep looking but if anyone has any suggestions I'd be glad to read them! |

There are now two other threads with your question discussed. I think you have caused yourself a problem by spamming the board with questions. Now you will have to search for answers.

According to UAE law, it is illegal to work without a valid work visa - ADU offering 5 week contracts without providing correct documentation? STAY FAR FAR AWAY - as the person breaking the law - YOU will suffer the consequences. And now that their scheme has become public, I wouldn't be surprised if examples will be made.

Yes... me too... I guess we were overcome with temporary generosity, but don't expect it to happen every time.

ADU, UAEU and HCT all offer these 5-week programmes. I don't know about the visa situation because it doesn't apply to me, but given it's teaching Year 11s, I can't imagine the MoL is suddenly going to be required by the Shaik to go in and check visas. |
